50-Minute Individual Sessions

My home office for virtual sessions

For individual sessions I use the therapeutic modality or combination of modalities that best suits you - talk therapy, EMDR, IFS or “parts” work. I use a somatic, attachment and inner child lens in all of my approaches as the body, our emotional bonds with our caregivers, and our younger parts all have something valuable to contribute to the healing process.

I offer both virtual and in-person individual therapy options. I am open to biweekly sessions but for new biweekly clients I ask that we meet monthly for the first two months so that I can get to know you, your symptoms, adaptations and coping strategies which will help inform the treatment plan and how I might suggest we structure our work together.
I enter each therapy session with a clear sense of your goals and objectives - which we co-create at the start of our work together and revisit as needed- as well as what we focused on in your previous session. I do not come to sessions with an agenda but I do come prepared to meet you where you are in that moment. It may make sense to pick up where we left off or circle back to something that surfaced but we did not have time to give it proper attention. Or perhaps you have something on your mind that feels pressing or there is something from the past week that you cannot seem to shake and you want a space to process it. I will also nudge us to return to your goals if it feels as if we are veering off track or it feels easier to discuss the issue of the week rather than lean into the hard work of healing from your past.
Therapy is a collaborative partnership. Together we work to ensure that you are getting your therapeutic needs met and being encouraged to lean in toward the parts of you that long to heal.
